Main Tasks

• Determine intelligence requirements and integrate all stakeholders into the Threat Intelligence Office threat sharing communities
• Develop and support the relationship with external stakeholders and partners regarding sharing of incidents and threat information when relevant
• Collect, analyze and disseminate threat intelligence to senior management and other key stakeholders.
• Provide verbal briefings, visual presentations, and written reports including probability and impact of threat identified.
• Collect and provide technical indicators to enhance the detection and protection capabilities.
• Work closely with the Incident Response team to enhance the analysis and provide additional context.
• Design, develop and deliver projects to enhance the Intelligence capabilities, resource, skills and outreach.
• Develop and present individual threat profiles for threat actors to required stakeholders
• Manage intelligence vendors, feeds and reports and assess their performance.
• Perform statistical – and big data analysis and the visualization of data by using advanced analytical methods
• Perform predictive security analytics based on threat intelligence and other additional information
• Steer and influence TI suppliers to deliver according to our security requirements.
• Support BASF’s security strategy and roadmap based on the current and future threat landscape
• Build and maintain threat models for various divisions or IT environments.

Education, Additional Qualifications and Experience

Preferred certifications:

• SANS GCTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence)
• ISC2 CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication (English Required)
• Organized, detail-oriented and strong multi-tasking skills
• Strong organizational and time management
• Ability to work independent and creatively
• 6+ years or 2 jobs of experience in cyber security / threat intelligence
• Advanced-level knowledge in
o Cyber advanced persistent threats, actors, infrastructure, and TTPs
o Infrastructure and networking including protocols, known ports and services
o Cloud security including tools / methodologies
o The following security related technologies: IPS, IDS, SIEM, firewalls, DNS, encryption, HIDS, NIDS, proxies, vulnerability management and enterprise level appliances.
• Preferred product related knowledge
o Commercial Threat Intelligence Platforms
o MISP
• Strong problem solving skills, good methodology toolbox, creativity on possible solutions are required, thinking out of the box
• Productive working environment as well as establishing positive relationship for multipliers
